About Us

The main function of the Development Division is to coordinate development programs/projects implemented under the Chief Secretary's Expenditure Head that are not included in the Provincial Specific and Standardized Development Plan and to manage development projects implemented in the province with foreign assistance. This division also coordinates projects such as health and education, rural bridges and road projects that receive foreign assistance, and projects and programs funded by the line ministry and the Presidential Secretariat such as the Nearest School, the Best School. Acquisition of land for development activities and preparation of the policy statement of the Southern Provincial Council are also the main functions implemented by this division.
